We are pleased to unveil “Queens of Sommerro,” a Limited-Edition Collection of Luxury Hair Accessories designed by The Rebirth of the Princess x Dauphines of New York. This international collaboration joins Oslo and New York, with pieces available exclusively at The Rebirth of the Princess / The Rebirth Beauty in Oslo, Norway.
This Limited-Edition collection was designed by Vana Perisa, the Oslo-based, Croatian-descended Founder of the The Rebirth of the Princess and The Rebirth Beauty (Scandinavia’s foremost luxury boutique) and Summer Rej, the New York-based designer and founder of Dauphines of New York (a brand of luxe hair accessories). The “Queens of Sommerro” collection features sparkling, elegant modern crowns and tiaras, sleek bobby pins, and ornate hair combs – for those daring to stand-out in the most sophisticated of ways.
With The Rebirth of the Princess / The Rebirth Beauty’s long-standing reputation as Scandinavia’s leader in luxury fashion and accessories, and Dauphines of New York’s years of experience creating luxury hair accessories, fate presented a unique opportunity for the two to work together, and we could not be prouder of the results!
The collaboration developed after Vana and Summer met in Oslo, Norway in January 2023 – a great start to the year! The Rebirth of the Princess’ reputation as a leader in the field of luxury fashion had traveled far, making it a must-visit for Dauphines of New York upon arriving in Oslo. The women met at the stunning art deco inspired Sommerro House, Oslo’s most luxurious hotel, located in the prime Frogner neighborhood. Both women had many years of experience in various areas of the fashion industry, combined with a love for design and a penchant for creativity – it was only natural that ideas would start to flow. During the meeting, a collaboration was discussed, with the focus on creating a range of crowns and tiaras. The collection was ultimately designed over the course of a few months, via a series of calls between Oslo and New York. At the same time, The Rebirth of the Princess / The Rebirth Beauty was moving to their new space, now located in the upscale Sommerro, the ultimate hot spot in hospitality.
The collection was produced in the United States using the finest of Swarovski crystals to present maximum sparkle. The collaboration includes a series of crowns and tiaras, bobby pins, and hair combs. Styles range from oversize crowns to sleek tiaras to sparkling hair combs and bobby pins. Each piece has been entirely hand-made in the US, by jewelers with years of experience producing high-end luxury creations. Swarovski crystals have been hand-set to provide the finest of sparkle. Styles have been produced in limited quantities-for the true modern princess.
The collaboration features oversize tiaras, one clear and the other in bronze tones, complimented by matching bobby pins. 18K Gold Plated hair crowns accented in flowers and sparkling clear crystals command attention. A rock-inspired silver hair crown features oversize flowers and matching bobby pins. Fairy-tale inspired butterfly hair crowns present a whimsical touch. A selection of hair comb headbands features crystal flowers in lilac and others with sparkling gunmetal gray tones. These hair combs create an instant hair style by lifting the hair to be runway ready.
